National Games 2022: Judokas shine for Manipur with Gold, Bronze

The medals tally for Manipur now is 14 Gold, 5 Silver and 12 Bronze medals, giving a total of 31 medals.

Manipur judokas H Sunibala Devi slammed her way to the Gold medal in the 36th National Games 2022 held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.

In the final bout of the Women's Judo 63 kg, H. Sunibala used her experience to floored Megatokas of Delhi for the Gold medal.

Enroute to the final bout, Sunibala Devi beat Reva Rawat of Delhi in the quarter final and defeated Unnati of Uttarakhand in the semi final.

Manipur also landed a Bronze medal in Men's Judo event of 66 kg with K. Bishal Singh beating Jatinder Singh of Punjab.

Another judokas Uma Chauhan of Manipur also missed the bus settling for the fourth spot in Women's 78kg after she was defeated by Apoorva Mahesh of Maharashtra in the Bronze medal bout.
