MoU signed to set up centre of excellence for football in Manipur

The Manipur government and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) signed an MoU on Tuesday to work jointly for the development of football in Manipur.

In a bid to develop football in Manipur and set up a centre of excellence, the Manipur government and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

Taking to Twitter, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said the football loving youths of the state deserve the best facilities and guidance and assured that the state government will walk the extra mile to deliver them.

"I am delighted to announce that an MoU has been signed between the Government of Manipur and All India Football Federation to set up a center of excellence for football. Our football loving youths deserve the best facilities & guidance. The state government will walk the extra mile to deliver them," CM Biren wrote on Twitter.

The MoU was signed by CM Biren and AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey in the presence of Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey.

"The hon'ble Manipur Chief Minister Shri @NBirenSingh and AIFF President Mr @kalyanchaubey signed an MoU to work jointly for the development of football in Manipur and set up a centre of excellence. The hon'ble Governor of Manipur, Sushri Anusuiya Uikey was present," the Indian Football Team tweeted.
