Model Singjamei posted their fourth win in the 4th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023-24 beating Al-Ameen, Lilong by 7 wickets

Model Singjamei posted their fourth win in the 4th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023-24 beating Al-Ameen, Lilong by 7 wickets at Lairenjam Public Ground. 

The hallmark of the Model Singjamei innings was from Biyon Singh who claimed 5 wickets and made an unbeaten 60 runs, to deliver his team’s fourth win from seven matches.

Al-Ameen put up 94 runs in their innings from 18.1 overs for 10 wickets with Rashid top scoring with 38 runs off 35 balls. Apart from Biyon's 5 wickets haul, Bisal and Chiran took 2 wickets for Model Singjamei.

Model Singjamei reached the target easily, losing just 3 wickets in the process from 12.3 overs. Biyon stood out hammering an unbeaten 60 runs off 29 balls for the victory and he was later adjudged Man of the Match.

As for the other matches, Shadow Thangmeiband pulled off 8 wickets win over Rule Meitram played at Public Ground Khangabok, Cherapur. 

Rule Meitram made a meagre 34 runs for 10 wickets from 18 overs while in reply, Shadow Thangmeiband surpassed the target in 8.3 overs for 2 wickets. Shadow player Lanchenba bagged the Man of the Match for his 5 wickets.

YWC Langthabal beat PTCC Patsoi by 51 runs at Model Hr. Secondary School & Oriental College Ground. YWC made 123 runs for 10 wickets from 32.4 overs with Y Achouba hitting 43 runs.

In their reply, PTCC could manage 72 runs from 25.2 overs for 10 wickets; Y. Achouba claimed 4 wickets and was declared Man of the Match.

The match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground saw YUCC Kwakeithel register a 152-run win over SCCC Singjamei. YUCC made 242 runs for 5 wickets from 25 overs while in reply, SCCC made 90 runs for 9 wickets from 26.3 overs. 

YUCC player Bidyashwor adjudged Man of the Match for his 42 runs and 2 wickets.
