Model Club beat YWC Langthabal by 5 wickets in the 9th T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2022 played at Oriental College and Model Higher Secondary School Ground, Imphal West.
The YWC veteran after winning the toss, rested on Manaobi who defied Model bowling attack, hitting 20 runs from 23 balls while Priyokumar got 15 runs to post 93 runs for 10 wickets from 14.3 overs. Kumarjit contributed 14 runs and Shashikanta fetched 13 runs.
Model bowler Kamlesh was the most successful one claiming 4 wickets while Cherish got 3 wickets, Sharatchandra bagged 2 wickets and Chinglensana picked up 1 wicket.
In reply, Model Club pinned their hopes on Chinglensana who got 26 runs and Suresh who made 23 runs and reached the target in 18.4 overs, losing 5 wickets. Santosh batted 14 runs and Saratchandra got 12 runs.
YWC bowler Samananda claimed 2 wickets while Priyokumar, Shasikanta and Kumarjit fetched 1 wickets each. Model bowler Kamlesh was declared the Man of the Match for his 4 wicket haul.
