KSDO Kiyamgei records second win, beating PTCC Patsoi by 152 runs in the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament 2021-22 played at Langthabal Public Ground, Imphal West.
Hamza took charge of KSDO innings, hitting 118 runs from 94 balls while Md. Shamir got 61 runs to pile up 272 runs for 5 wickets from 40 overs. Reehaj made 31 runs and Tarique Aziz remained unbeaten with 26 runs.
PTCC bowlers N. Victor claimed 2 wickets while Sohail Akram, Deepak and Th. Mocha fetched 1 wicket each.
Chasing the target, a hard hitting 35 runs effort from Andyroshan Mangingbam goes in vain as rest of the batsman failed to produce a spark except for H. Hemachandra who made 26 runs, to manage 120 runs for 10 wickets from 35.5 overs.
KSDO bowler Shajahan bagged 5 wickets while Hamza, Md. Shamir and Md. Abdul claimed 1 wicket each and later Hamza was declared the Man of the Match for his 118 runs and 1 wickets.
In the other match, PCC Mayaikoibi pulled off a 212 runs win over THAU Thangmeiband played at Model Higher Secondary School & Oriental College Ground.
Batting first, PCC opener Ch.Tyson blasted 47 runs from 29 balls while Ch.Ranjan made 88 runs to put up 280 runs for 10 wickets from 39.5 overs. H.Dhanshyam got 29 runs and Th.Anand contributed 26 runs. THAU bowler Ranjan and Rabikanta Sharma claimed 3 wickets each while Krisnachandra got 2 wickets.
In their reply, THAU could manage just 68 runs for 10 wickets from 19 overs with P. Amarjit top scoring with 15 runs. PCC bowlers, L. Dipu, Ch. Ranjan, Th. Anand, John N Hmar claimed 2 wickets while L. Chingkheihunba got 1 wicket each. PCC all rounder Ch. Ranjan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 88 runs and 2 wickets haul.
RULE Malom also recorded a 258 runs victory over KASC Khomidok played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground. RULE made 322 runs for 3 wickets from 40 overs with Jay Singh cracking 119 runs while M. Sudhir got 66 runs and A. Rakesh made an unbeaten 81 runs
In reply, KASC batsman crashed out for 64 runs for 10 wickets from 21.3 overs with Md. Ali Khan being the lone batsman to cross double figure mark with 26 runs. RULE bowler Jay Singh Hourakcham claimed 5 wickets and later claimed the Man of the Match for his 119 runs too while N. Sarojkumar bagged wickets, Karim and Denin fetched 1 wicket each.
