MNCA Plate Tournament: IBSA beat RRCC by 7 wickets

An unbeaten 73 runs knock from opener Nongmeikapam Komol helped IBSA Yumnam Leikai beat RRCC Churchandpur by 7 wickets in the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

Picking up their third win from four matches, IBSA Yumnam Leikai are currently enjoying the top spot with 6 points in Group B while RRCC had managed just one win and two lost games, to collect two points.

RRCC batsman had a challenging time but managed to put up 131 runs for 10 wickets from 31.3 overs with Lalboi Vaiphei making 24 runs while Louriyam Elan made 17 runs. Abishek Sharma remains unbeaten with 16 runs.

IBSA bowlers Karan Prajapati, Rajababu, Rk Pritamkumar claimed 2 wickets each while K Ramananda fetched 1 wicket.

In reply, IBSA had no difficulty in reaching the target as opener N Komol Singh hammered an unbeaten 73 runs from 64 balls while M Sunanda got 30 runs to surpass the required target in 22 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. RRCC bowler Pankaj Hazarika claimed 2 wickets while N Shyamsunder got 1 wicket.

In tomorrow's matches, YAC Yaiskul will play KIYC Khetrigao at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium while SSU Singjamei Kakwa will face CDC Sagolband Salam Leikai at Langthabal Public Ground.
