Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Letpao Haokip distributed uniforms to the Manipur team who will participate in the 75th Hero National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2021 (NE Zone Qualifying Round) which will be played at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium from November 28, 2021.

The two sets of uniforms for the state squad was sponsored by Vector and the same was distributed by YAS Minister Letpao Haokip along with YAS Principal Secretary, SS Chhabra and  Director YAS,T. Phulen Meitei at the Artificial Turf Ground at Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal East.

Later a friendly match was played between the Santosh Trophy team and Kuki Sporting Club. Manipur squad is being coached by AFC 'A' Licence holder Gift Raikhan and the Manager mantle will be handled by Th.Ibotombi Singh.

Mentioned may be made that Manipur will host three other teams in NE Zone Qualifying Round, including Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland from November 28 to December 2 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium. Shillong will host other remaining teams in the NE Zone Qualifying Round.

On the opening day on November 28, the host team Manipur will take on Nagaland at 9.30 am while Mizoram will play Tripura at 2.30 pm.
