Manipur beat Odisha by 4-1 goals to reach the final of the 26th Hero Senior Women's National Football Championship 2021-22 held at Kerala.
In the semi final, Manipur were trailing by an early goal deficit but just before the first half whistle, Y Kiranbala Chanu fetched the equaliser to level 1-1 goals. As the latter minute of play failed to provide any more goals, the match had to be decided by kicks from penalty marks.
Manipur converted three penalty kicks from Sultana, Th Babysana Devi and A Roja Devi compared to Odisha who mistimed most of the kicks for the defeat.
With the win, Manipur will face Railways in the final match on Thursday.
It is worth mentioning that Manipur is the current Champion and has won the title twenty times since its inception in 1991.
