Manipur shooters bag three medals in NE Zone Championship 2023

North East Zone Shooting Championship 2023: Manipur shooter Arvind Irungbam secured silver, missing the top spot by three points to Assam shooter Atharva Kakati in the .177 Peep Sight Air Rifle (NR) Championship 10-meter Men Individual.

Manipur shooters claimed a silver and two bronze medals in the 10th North East Zone Shooting Championship 2023 held at Shillong, Meghalaya.

Shooter Arvind Irungbam secured the silver medal, missing the top spot by three points to Assam shooter Atharva Kakati in the .177 Peep Sight Air Rifle (NR) Championship 10-meter Men Individual. Arvind scored 389 points among the eighteen shooters. Assam shooter Ranjan Das got the bronze medal with 384 points.

In the .177 Peep Sight Air Rifle (NR) Championship 10-meter Junior Men Individual event, Laishram Satish Singh took the bronze medal with 373 points. Assam shooter Atharva Kakati claimed the top spot with 392 points while teammates Eran Uddin Ahmed fetched the silver with 384 points.

Laishram Satish also landed another bronze medal in 10-meter Youth Men Individual of the .177 Peep Sight Air Rifle (NR) Championship.

Assam is currently leading the championship which began on Sunday, bagging six gold medals in the meet.
