An 11-member boxing contingent will leave Imphal for the 37th National Games at Goa on Monday.
Out of the 11 team members, seven are boxers who have been nominated for the 37th National Games based on their ranking position in the 6th Elite Men National Boxing Championship 2022-23 at Haryana and 6th Elite Women at Bhopal.
The boxing competition will be held from November 1-8 at Peddem Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Mapusa.
The male boxers are Jackson Pukhrambam (51kg), Laishram Edison (57kg), Rohit Ningthoujam (63.5kg) and Moirangthem Ichikhunba (92+kg). The female boxers are H Ashalata Chanu (51kg), Th Ojibala Devi (54kg) and Huidrom Ambeshori (57kg).
The four team officials are H Rotonkumar as Team Manager and Ksh Sharat Singh, L Kishan Singh and Th Jiten Singh as Team Coaches.
The BFI also nominated Ph Dhanajit Singh and Bidyananda Salam as Technical Officials in the Games.
