Shuttler K Sonakshi Singha of JDBA claimed Girls Singles title of the U-13 category in the ongoing 67th State Open Badminton Championship 2023 played at MBA Indoor Hall, DM College Campus.
Sonakshi Singha had a relatively easy game against Rekispa Soubam of TDBA, taking the first set by 21-13 points and went on to grab the second game with 21-18 points.
As for the Boys Double of U-13 category, the pair of Shreya L and Th Yangba Meitei of Imphal East District Badminton Association beat compatriot M Rustam Singh and Yaiphaba S by 21-18 and 21-11 points.
The Girls Double for U-19 category was won by Ch Bellarix Devi and Leonie Tayenjam of Imphal West District Badminton Association beating Imphal East pair of K.Gunjan Devi and Sananu Maisnam by 21-16 and 21-9 points.
While Kasporov Ahanthem and his partner K Gunjan Devi smashed out Borish Salam and Ch Bellarix Devi by 21-8 and 21-13 to lift the champion title of the Mixed Double.
And in the Girls Double of the U-13 category, L Aanjelia and Rekispa Soubam bagged the champion title beating K Sonakshi Singha and S Archana Devi by 21-8 and 21-9 points.
