Manipur archers won eight medals in the 67th National School Games in Archery for U-14 Boys and Girls held at Nadiad, Gujarat from December 13-14, 2023.
In the championship, Manipur managed 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. Out of these, the Boys won 4 Silver and 3 Bronze while the Girls bagged one Bronze medal from the Indian Round Team event.
Archer Lanngamba Mutum bagged silver in first 50-meter compound and a bronze in second 50-meter event and an overall silver while Ch Malemnganba got a silver in the second 50-meter compound event and Paikhomba Chongtham a bronze in Recurve.
In the Compound Boys Team event, Manipur archers Y Lanthoiba, H Biju, Ch Malemnganba, Lanngamba M got a silver medal while in the Recurve Boys Team event, Ch Paikhomba, Bikram M, S Lamyanba, H Binison took the bronze medal.
The Indian Round Girls Team event saw S Linthoinganbi, E Anju, E Silky and L Hemabati bagged a bronze medal. The Manipur team was led by M Sunder Singh as Coach while N Sumobala Devi as Manager.
