Peter Khumrolian's brilliant brace in the 44th and 65th minutes after John Minlun's equalizer in the 40th minute cruised Churachandpur's Symropia Football Club through to the Semifinal round to clash with AMFA Cup team Kuki Sporting Club in the ongoing Len and Sang Trophy at Brig. M. Thomas ground Kangpokpi.
The Churachandpur MLS team routed AMFA Cup team Youth Organization Sporting Club (YOSC) Khurai 3-1 in the last quarterfinal match today.
YOSC Khurai was in better form leading the game with Laishram Daniel's beautiful goal in the 33rd minute but Symropia FC found an early equalizer seven-minute later through John Minlun paving the way for Peter Khumrolian's brace to overwhelm Khurai's side 3-1 in the end.
On Monday, Symropia FC will clash with the AMFA Cup team KSC in the first semifinal match at 11:00 am while the only local club making through to the semifinal round Twilang Area Sporting Association (TASA) under former ISL player Boithang Haokip will play another MSL team Sagolband United in the second semifinal match.
There will be no match on Sunday.
