‘LGBTQIA+ community gaining more support’

Two-day 6th edition Queer Games, 2023 kicked off at KAGO, Airport Road, Imphal West.

Founder of Ya_all Sadam Hanjabam on Saturday said that public participation and support towards LGBTQIA+ community from society has been increasing when compared to the previous years.

He was speaking at the inauguration of two-day 6th edition Queer Games, 2023 at KAGO, Airport Road, Imphal West.

The programme powered by Randstad in association with Fast&Up was organised by Ya_all with the title sponsored by Ablnbev. It is also supported by Hill Wild Living, Sangaiprou, Decathlon and Manipur LGBTQ.

On the first day, a 'mixed gender football tournament' was organised with participation by eight different football teams. Later in the evening, a walkathon was organising with the theme, “In solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community and gender minorities in Manipur.”

The walkathon commenced from KAGO and culminated at the starting place after making a U-turn from Tiddim ground along Tiddim road, he added.
