S Laxmi Devi won gold in the Women Open of Hammer Throw section of the 41st State Age Group Athletic Championship 2021 held at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
Representing Manipur Police Sports Club, Laxmi Devi maked a distance of 34.22 meter for the gold medal while teammate M Arundhati Devi took home silver with a throw of 26.66 meter and N Ichantombi of SROY fetch the bronze medal with 25.40 meter.
As for the U-18 Girls Hammer Throw, Th. Gunibala Devi of HAU took the gold medal with 13.04 meter while compatriot S. Victoriya Devi fetched the silver with 12.62 meter. In the U-18 Boys Hammer Throw, HAU team made a complete sweep with H.Thoiba Singh with 23.34 meter, N.Gunindro Singh with 21.28 meter and L. Sanathoi Meitei with 20.53 meter claimed the gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In the Men's Open 200 meter race, M. Alken Singh of SROY bagged the gold medal with 23.07 seconds while teammate Letjakai Khongsai took the silver with 23.51 seconds and Anilkumar Irengbam of SAI fetch the bronze medal with 23.84 seconds.
S Nganthoi Devi of SAI RC ran off to victory in U-18 Girls 200 meter with a timing of 28.53 seconds while Chanchanrani Devi of SROY 29.93 seconds and S.Memchu of HAU with a timing of 33.63 seconds fetch the silver and bronze medals.
As for the U-20 Girls 200 meter category, Yaisana of SROY bagged the gold medal with 27.26 seconds while L.Ashakiran fetched the silver medal with 32.53 seconds.
