The last date for the submission of registration form for enrolment to the National Sports Academy, Khuman Lampak, Imphal in class-VI and Class IX (under Lateral Entry) in 6 (six) prioritised sports discipline for the academic session, 2023-24 has been extended till August 11, 2023.
The six sports disciplines are archery, boxing, judo, tackwondo, weightlifting and wrestling.
According to a release by T Phulen Meitei, member secretary, NSA Management Committee, the number of seats will be six boys and six girls in each discipline with 50 per cent from the state of Manipur and 50 per cent from outside the states/UTs.

As for the criteria for admission in Class VI, the candidates should be Class V passed, age between 10 to 12 years as on 1 April while the method of selection will consist of age verification & Medical fitness Test, Motor ability Test.
Specific test in the concerned sports discipline and Written Test Criteria for Admission in Class IX under lateral Entry will also be held wherein the candidates should be Class VIII passed from a recognised School/Board and age between 13 to 14 years as on 1 April, 2023.
Candidates should obtain top (three) position in the National Level Championships organised by National Sports Federations recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India or National School Games organised by School Games Federation of India, or Candidates should obtain top 3 (three) position in the State Level Championships organised by the concerned Sports Associations of the State, Phulen Meitei said.
Candidates should submit their age verification and medical fitness certificates from a recognised Medical Hospital of the concerned state.
