Manipur Gorkha XI beat Saitu Gamphazol Area Youth Organisation (SGAYO) as it opened its winning account in the ongoing 6th edition of the premier Kuki Football Academy's Open Night Football Tournament at D Phaihel village in Kangpokpi District.
The successive goals of Nabin Rai in the 31st minute and Ramu's goal in the 32nd minute gave the Gorkha XI an easy 2-0 win over the SGAYO.
In the second match, Sengol Football Club made a brilliant comeback after a heavy 5-0 lost in its first match to overwhelmed T Lhanghoi FC 4-1 as Boisei (5'), David (41'), Jangginlun (48') and an owned goal from Jimmy (55') scored for Sengol FC while Marcus (28') pulled back a goal for Lhanghoi side.
In the third match, United Young Boys continued its narrow win over United Bother Football Club to maintain its unbeaten record. The United Young Boys had a narrow 1-0 win over Monglham Golngai FC in its opening match with Lungoulal's goal. Similarly, it had another narrow 2-1 win over United Brother FC in its second match as Lungoulal added another goal in his boot in the 47th minute before Thonglenmang's goal in the 60th minute while Milan pulled back a goal for United Brother FC in the 38th minute.
