The opening ceremony of a football tournament in aid of Zou Presbyterian Church Synod's building project was held at Moukot village playground under Singngat Sub division on Thursday.

Chairman of the Central Election Committee for intending candidate of 60th Singngat assembly constituency and president of JD (U) Manipur P Tunzamang attended as the chief guest.
He said that games are very important as they can be a source of huge incomes. In other parts of the world, players are trained from a young age, he said, encouraging the players to play fair.

The ceremony under the theme 'towards peace' was attended by villagers and chiefs of the adjoining areas and Churachandpur district JD (U) president Kham Zotal who attended as the president.
