ESU Wangkhei drubbed SSC Porompat by 6-0 goals in the Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division League 2022 organised by Ad-hoc Committee of IEDFA at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak.

ESU player M Sohail took the centrestage as he ran havoc to leave the opponent defence in shambles from the start and managed to struck four goals, one in the first half of play of the 20th minute. Dominating the game, L Ajay struck in quick succession as he netted home the second goal in the 21st minute to post 2-0 goals in the first half.

The Sohail and Ajay combination took further roots when Md Sohail consolidated in the 47th minute and later Ajay Singh came up with the fourth goal in the 61st minute, to dominate the proceedings. Md Sohail further aggravated the situation for the SSC team as he struck two quick goals including a penalty in the 76th minute and 79th minute for the victory today.

Four SSC players Marque Alam, MK Imtiyas, Md Bashir, Md. ajid as well as assistant coach, Md Sikandar got reprimanded with yellow cards from referee N Amarjit while two ESU players were also booked with yellow cards including S Sanathoi and Md Ilias.

In the other matches, XI Star Sporting Union, Akhampat beat SAK Yumnam Khunou by a solitary goal with L Thoiba fetching the winning goal.

Angtha FC also came up with a solitary goal win against UPAA Kiyamgei with T Surjakanta delivering the winning goal.

The match between ABA Khetrigao and PYA Kairang had to settle with 2-2 goals and share a point each. Md.Rasid and PM Rakeveiche scored for PYA team while Singte George and Guljar fetched the equaliser for ABA team.
