ESU Wangkhei Palace Compound outplayed TRAU Kwakeithel by 2 wickets in the 1st MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2021-22 played at PCC Ground, Mayaikoibi.

Opting to bat first, TRAU batsman made a good start with opener Laksh Ngangom making 57 runs from 67 balls while M Swabhiman got 38 runs to flourish the innings to 194 runs for 4 wickets from 30 overs. G Shivestian made 28 runs before retiring hurt.

ESU bowlers Simesh Singh, Bishomacha and Sayonba claimed 1 wickets each.

Chasing the target, ESU batsman had to toil hard after the departure of opener H Donba Sharma who made 34 runs from 49 balls. However, middle order batsman Md Atif Shah restored some confidence hitting 26 runs while N Kennedy got 34 runs. Tailenders batsman Simesh Singh also chipped in with an unbeaten 12 runs to reach the target in 29 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.

TRAU bowlers Laksh, Indrakumar Singh, Ganguly Singh picked up 2 wickets each while Preethson and Swabhiman fetched 1 wicket each. ESU batsman H Donba Sharma was adjudged Man of the Match for his 34 runs knock for the victory.

Meanwhile, CDC Sagolband Salam Leikai pulled off 103 runs win against Napsa Kha Imphal in the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament 2021-22 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam.

Th Rakesh topscored for CDC team, making 33 runs while Md Ataur Rahaman got 22 runs to put up 169 runs for 10 wickets from 35.2 overs. Napsa bowler Bipin Singh claimed 3 wickets while Chingkhei took 2 wickets among the bowlers
