In the first match of the day which began at 6.30 am, RSC-B defeated Lamkang Khunou by three goals

RSC-B, YSCT-C, Laiktla-A and Laiktla-B on Tuesday registered wins over their rivals on the 2nd day of the 35th General Tournament of the Eastern Lamkang Naga Sporting Association (ELNSA) held at Riindamkhuw Village in Chandel district.

In the first match of the day which began at 6.30 am, RSC-B defeated Lamkang Khunou by three goals to one with Bungshingwar of RSC-B scoring a brace (25th and 28th minutes) and Rengnong (60th minute) adding another. However, it was Lamkang Khunou that took the lead through Philip in the 24th minute of the game. Bebe of Lamkang Khunou was cautioned for foul play.

In the second match, YSCT-C thrashed Kongpe 10 goals to one with Shetringjoy of Kongpe scoring an own goal too and their only goal coming from Hollywell in the 60th minute.

For YSCT-C, Sk. Darpol was the star with five goals supported by Rengringshel, Th Boaz, Sk Augustine and J Jasper with a goal each.

In the third match, Laiktla-A defeated YSCT-A by five goals to nil with Sk. Anthony scoring four goals and Jv Wangpem with one. Two players of YSCT-A, namely Th Shengringdam and Th. Jonah were cautioned for foul play.

And in the final match of the day played between Laiktla-B and Betuk Sengkreng, the former came out victorious in a 5-goal thriller. Laiktla-B took the lead in the first half with three goals through Th. Darminthang, Jv Khungringam and Th Khalchung. However, it was Betuk Sengkreng that scored first in the first half through Sk Ashok in the 8th minute. In the second, Betuk Sengkreng were able to pull a goal back through St Paul in the 55th minute but it was not enough as Laiktla-B won with 3 goals to two in the final whistle.
