Eight senior women players of Manipur find their place in the Indian squad for the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2022 which will be held in India.
The eight players are Maibam Lingthoingambi Devi as goalkeeper, Ngangbam Sweety Devi as defender, Loitongbam Ashalata Devi as defender, Hemam Silky Devi as defender, Yumnam Kamala Devi as mid-fielder, Nongmaithem Ratanbala Devi as midfielder, Naorem Priyangka Devi as mid-fielder and Dangmei Grace as forward.
The AIFF had announced a squad of 23 players for the Asian Cup 2022. In the Group stage of the Cup, India will face Islamic Republic of Iran on January 20 at 7.30 pm.
Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Myanmar, Korea Republic, Japan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Indonesia, India, Chinese Taipei, China People Republic and Australia are the countries that featured in the Asian Cup.
