UPSA Pukhao claimed the champion title of Baby Suchitra Memorial Junior Girls Football League Tournament 2021-22 organised by Imphal East District Football Association and played at YWC Ground, Thambalkhong on Sunday.

In the last league match, UPSA Pukhao routed ESU Wangkhei by 10-0 goals that proved to be a one sided game. Eastern Sporting Union, Wangkhei had no reply to the onslaught of the Pukhao girls as the latter struck the opening goals as early as 3rd minute from N Henarita.

ESU Wangkhei who had a poor performance in the league, did put up some effort in the second half stages but all their shots were too feeble in converting to goal.

As for UPSA Pukhao, N Henarita proved to be the most improved player of the lot as she fetched six more goals in the game while Lhing Boikim added two goals and H Dhanapriya chipped in with a goal for the huge victory.

UPSA Pukhao finished the league with 6 points having a goal aggregate of plus 12 for the top spot while YWC Thambalkhong fetched the second spot with 6 point with goal aggregate of plus 6 and AMMMA Andro too finished with 6 point. ESU Wangkhei occupied the bottom slot without a win in the league.

Imphal East District Football Association president L Sulanjoy Singh distributed the winner trophy to UPSA Pukhao.
