The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has expressed its shock at the sudden demise of junior women footballer Wahengbam Usharani Devi of Maibam village in Bishnupur district on Sunday.

The AMFA, in a condolence statement, said Usharani Devi played for ICSA Irengbam team as a goalkeeper and represented Manipur in Khelo India U-17 in Madhya Pradesh and won a gold medal.

The association, while sharing the griefs of family members, prayed for her perpetual serenity of her soul in the heavenly abode.
