AKSDO, PCC triumph in 3rd MNCA Superplate Tournament 2023-24

A belligerent effort from Sanayai who knocked 59 runs and got 2 wickets helped AKSDO Khangabok beat Force Kshetrigao by 31 runs.

A belligerent effort from Sanayai who knocked 59 runs and got 2 wickets helped AKSDO Khangabok beat Force Kshetrigao by 31 runs in the opening match of the 3rd MNCA Superplate Tournament 2023-24 played at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur. 

Made to face the bowling first, AKSDO batsmen struggled with opener Kh Bishworjit managed 26 runs from 66 balls. However, the middle order batsmen L Winchelly (29 runs), Sanayai (59 runs from 35 balls) and Akash (38 runs) helped the team reach 192 runs for 8 wickets in 40 overs.

Force bowler Tashib and Kabir claimed 2 wickets each.

In reply, Force failed to handle the bowling to their liking but a rescue effort from Naeem who made 23 runs and 32 runs by Kabir yielded little result after their departures.

Saddam Shah stood his ground for a while for 48 runs but failed to reach the target and the team fell for 161 runs in 35 overs. AKSDO bowler Roshan claimed 4 wickets while Sanayai claimed 2 wickets and was later declared Man of the Match. 

In the other match, PCC Mayai Koibi beat RCA Lilong by 44 runs at Model Hr Secondary School & Oriental College Ground.

PCC made 156 runs for 10 wickets in 36.2 overs with Ch Ranjan top scoring with 32 runs while L. Ronald and Ch. Tyson got 26 runs each. RCA bowlers Md Danish, Naesh Hussain, Syed Hussain claimed 2 wickets each.

Chasing the target, RCA could reply 112 runs for 10 wickets from 30.1 overs with Syed Hussain and Md. Alfash getting 21 runs each. PCC bowler L Ronald bagged 4 wickets for 26 runs while L Chigkheihunba took 2 wickets. L Ronald claimed the Man of the Match.
