AMBA Cheirap overcame MUSA Chekon by 3-2 goals in the 4th Sangai Trophy Veterans' Football Championship, 2022 organised by UVFA Manipur, and played at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.

AMBA who had been struggling in the meet, managed to get the right track today with M Gunamani fetching the opening goal in the 16th minute of play. But MUSA who gave a befitting challenge came up with the equaliser from A Noni in the 19th minute to level 1-1 goals in the first half.

Advocating a strong stand in the second half, AMBA increased the tally when M Gunamani came up with the second goal in the 46th minute and later in injury time of 70 plus 2nd minute, Jeevananda struck the third goal for AMBA team. But just a moment earlier, MUSA was able to get their second goal from Joykumar Singh in 70 plus 1st minute. MUSA player Gunindro was booked with a yellow card in the match.

AT Chandel Veteran Meet, New Wangparel FC drubbed Sudden Plan by 3-0 goals in the 2nd Veteran Football Tournament 2022 played at Mini Stadium Complex, Chandel. M Shanglin scored all three goals for his hattrick.

In the other match, Liwa Channing beat Changhne Veteran by a solitary goal with Samual getting the winning goal to garner full points.
