Priyanka Leitanthem landed her kicks to perfection to deliver the gold medal for Manipur in the Senior Female category of the 37th National Games held at the coastal state of Goa.
In the final bout of the senior female U-62 kg category, Priyanka Leitanthem cried out her full fury to beat Shreya Rani of Bihar for the glittering gold medal; nine competitors took part in the category.
As for the Cycling event of the Men's Elite 1000-meter Individual Time Trial, Manipur cyclist Yanglem Rojit Singh fetched the silver medal with a timing of 01:03.891 seconds.
The gold medal in the event was claimed by Andaman & Nicobar cyclist David Beckhame and the bronze medal was won by VS Kengalagutti of Karnataka.
As for the Men's Football, Manipur lost to Kerala by 3-1 goals.
Manipur currently occupy nine spots, bagging 8 Gold, 5 Silver and 14 Silver for a total of 27 medals.
