The Manipur Amateur Kho-Kho Association has selected 15 boys and 15 girls to represent Manipur State Kho-Kho Contingent in the 33rd Sub Junior National Kho-Kho Championship 2023-24 to be held at Tiptur, Karnataka from December 13 to 17, 2023.
The event is organised by the Karnataka State Kho-Kho Association under the auspices of Kho Kho Federation of India.
As per a release by M Himat Singh, general secretary, MAKKA, the 30 were selected based on their performances shown in the Trial Cum Selection test held at BASU Ground, Khangabok.
The selected 15 players for boys are N Premchand Singh from SCEASDO, L Lanchenba Meitei and L Joshi Singh from BASU, K Itomba Singh from RYC, I Punilakpa Singh from I/E, Paikhomba Y from PKDC, Th Tomthin Singh from SCEASDO, Ranbir Thokchom from SSYC, P Nongleiba Meitei from SENDYC, Kh Shailesh Singh from SCEO, P Sanathoi from I/E, Andrew Waikhom from SSC, Th Sachin Singh from YSA, P Johnson Meitei from SYA and S Tolenkhomba Meitei from SCEASDO.
The selected 15 players for the girl’s team are N Nushita from I/E, K Karuna Devi from BASU, Kh Anju Devi from SCEASDO, N Abenao Chanu from RYC, Ph Lamnganbi Devi from SSC, Yaiphabi Thokchom from SESU, L Binita Devi from SCEO, Th Jerina Chanu from RYC, N Mirita Chanu from I/E, L Albina Devi from SYA, S Eren Chanu from SYSCA, H Jenirose Chanu from SSC, N Luxmi Devi from BASU, Th Artina Devi from SSYC and L Gracy from I/E.
Moreover, H Koireng Singh (Manager), L Singhajit (Coach) and L Kumarjit Singh (Physio) were selected as the officials for the boy’s team while N Memtombi Devi (Manager), H Devarani Devi (Coach) and Th Premlata Devi (Physio) were selected as officials for the girl’s team.
The players have been directed to report to Ph. Romen Singh at S.S.C. Ground, Sekta, Imphal East, on 20th November,2023 at 2 pm for intensive training and coaching which will be given by Kh Imo Singh, NISKK Coach and assisted by K Dhananjoy Singh, senior international player. All selected players are to bring their required kits and other necessary materials.
