United Khawzim Brothers upset Young Physique Union, Lalambung by 4-1 goals in the 15th Manipur State League 2022 which got resumed at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
United Khawzim gained the lead from Lalminlun in the 6th minute of play and Lamthianlal increased the tally in the 32nd minute to post 2-0 goals in the first half.
Young Physique found it hard to cut the short passes of United Khawzim and were lagging behind the pursuit and thus Ngamminlal Lhungdim consolidated in the 51st minute.
But a defensive lapse from United Khawzim saw M Manisana Singh seizing the chances, driving home a powerful volley to bring up the first goal in the 66th minute. Content with having a 3-1 goals lead, United Khawzim made occasional raids and in the dying moment of the game, Thangminlen Misao cracked home the fourth goal in the 90 plus 3 minute for the win.
In the other match, Athletics Football Club outplayed Manipur Police Sports Club by 2-0 goals. Loyangamba Meitei Akoijam and W Tejkumar Singh fetched the goals for AFC team.
