Manipuri documentary film ‘Subedar’ based on the stories of Gurkhas in the history of Manipur has been nominated for Nepal International Film festival, 2023.

Over 500 films from 55 different countries were submitted for the festival. Of the total, 14 films were selected for the International Documentary Film section, of which two films from India including ‘Subedar’ were nominated.
The film is jointly directed by Th Rolivin; G Devadarshan and A Debabarta.

The Nepal International Film Festival, 2023 will be conducted from March 16-20 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
It is learnt that ‘Subedar’ will also be in the competition of Mount Everest Award which is a part of the festival.
