Need to tap potential of youth to take country forward: Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma spoke at the 43rd Annual Day celebration of the Loyola Academy in Hyderabad and stressed on the need to channelize the potential of the youth for the nation to grow.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said that youth are the greatest strength of the country and India should channelize the potential of the youth and take the country forward.

Speaking at the 43rd Annual College Day celebration of the Loyola Academy in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said, “Youth is our greatest strength. If the potential of the youth is channelized in the right direction, they can prove to be our asset. However, if they are misguided the youth force of our country can be destructive”.

Lauding institutes like Loyola Academy for shaping the young minds in the country, he said, “As political leaders, we should always communicate and engage with the youth and ensure that their true potential is tapped. For our nation to grow, we have to depend on our youth”.

During his visit to Hyderabad, the Chief Minister met ITE & Communications Minister of Telangana KT Rama Rao.

Informing the gathering about his discussion with Rama Rao on Apple brand (mobile manufacturing company) and it’s turnover, which is close to 3 trillion dollars, the Chief Minister said, “Apple is almost 3 trillion dollar company, and India’s GDP is not even 3 trillion … we have over 1.2 billion population. The productivity of the people in Apple is very high and we as a country have to ponder and work together to take the country forward”.

He handed over mementos to staff members, students and other members of the Loyola Academy for their contribution and achievement in different academic spheres.
