The Zeliangrong Baudi, Manipur on Monday stated that there is no reservation or hesitation to sit across the table with any political groups, which are engaged in political negotiation with the Government of India, in free and fair manner since Zeliangrong is one of the stakeholders of the Naga political issue.
The situation of Zeliangrong people is not same with the other Naga tribes because Zeliangrong people are not concentrated in specific areas nor confined in a single sub division, district or state but lives in different areas, sub divisions, districts or states where different laws of the respective states are being administered upon, stated a release.
“What is applicable in Manipur State is not practicable in Nagaland and Assam or vice versa,” it stated.
Zeliangrong people should be very cautious in all social or political issues because slight negligence could hurt the interest and sentiment of their own people who live in different states, it mentioned.
It stated that the RNPO and RNCM trying to cast the ZCOs in the wrong light have been very unfortunate. RNPO and RNCM should understand the ground reality before hurling baseless allegations upon ZCOs, it mentioned. It is high time to rise above narrow mindsets.
It pointed out that the Naga people's political solution is for all Nagas where no single Naga can differentiate or discriminate against another.
Attending any consultative meeting convened by any political groups to know the details and progress of the political negotiation between the Government of India and the Naga political negotiating groups should not be construed or misconceived as anti Naga nor anti India, it further stated.
Zeliangrong being one of the major communities as such Zeliangrong brothers are found enrolled in almost all the Naga political groups i.e. NSCN (I-M), NSCN (R), NSCN (NK), NSCN (U), NNC, FGN etc. apart from ZUF which are engaged in political negotiation with the Government of India, it stated. It is required for the leaders of the civil organisations to know the progress and details of the political negotiation of any negotiating groups, it added.
