To make the youths aware of their responsibility in political participation for bringing progress, a-one day Youth Convocation, ‘Aphaba Tunglamchat Amagidamak’ was organised at Lukram Leirak Youth Club (LLYC) ground, Imphal West on Sunday.
The function was organised by Youth Committee RK Rameshwar Singh under the aegis of Kendra Election Committee, RK Rameshwar Singh, candidate, Patsoi assembly constituency.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Rameshwar said involvement of youths in politics is necessary to bring a better society in the future. In the past, only elderly persons used to be involved in politics. The youths have to be aware of politics as only politics can bring development in society, he said. With this concept, the one-day youth convention is organised, he added.
“Some intending candidates are misguiding the youths by using them as muscle power. Such practices need to be avoided. The youths of the society need to be motivated instead of misusing them,” said Rameshwar.
Meanwhile, a unit office of RK Rameshwar Singh was inaugurated, and Langjing Achouba People’s Convention was also organised at Langjing Achouba ground, Imphal West on Saturday.
