Singjamei to Lilong Meira Paibee Apunba Lup (SILIMPAL) on Thursday condemned the alleged inaction of the security forces towards attacks allegedly carried out by suspected militants, urging the government to take up immediate action to resolve the prevailing issue in the state.
A release issued by SILIMPAL condemned the security forces for remaining mute spectators to the “unabated onslaught of the heavily armed SoO Kuki militants towards the innocent civilians in the peripheral regions.”
It urged the authorities concerned and the stakeholders for the restoration of peace and normalcy for the sake of the displaced victims and students of the communal crisis.
SILIMPAL also demanded the immediate withdrawal of the blockades at the national highways connecting Imphal to Moreh and Imphal to Dimapur. It condemned the Mizoram government for allegedly interfering with the issues of the state and assured that SILIMPAL will always stand for the territorial integrity of Manipur.
