A group of local women in Imphal staged a sit-in protest condemning the firing incident that place at early Tuesday.
Miscreants fired one round of gunshot at a house in Lamboi Khongnangkhong under the jurisdiction of Lamphel Police Station, Imphal West at around 1.10 am on Tuesday. The house belongs to one 49-year-old Wangkhem Lokeshor, son of W Khomei.

Taking part in the protest, Apunba Nupi Lup Lamboi Khongnangkhong president Paonam Bino strongly condemned the firing incident.
No casualties were reported in the firing by the armed miscreants which hit the kitchen of Lokeshor’s residence. W Lokeshor is the finance secretary of United Friends Library and Club, Lamboi Khongnangkhong, sources said.
