Salai Apunba Nupi Lamjing Lup (SANULAL) on Thursday condemned the horrifying viral video of two Kuki women being stripped and paraded naked on the road by a mob and asserted that women are not soft targets for attacks or armed conflict.

SANULAL, in a release, also recalled that several Meitei women in Churachandpur suffered disproportionately during the ongoing conflict and mentioned the abuse and atrocities allegedly carried out against them by Kukis in Churachandpur. It maintained that it will not tolerate such crime and violence against women.

SANULAL also provided basic relief items to the affected victims and village volunteers of Khurkhul Protection Committee, Khurkhul Apunba Nupi-nupa, Tronglaobi and Nganukol areas as part of their humanitarian activity, it added.
