A Nepali woman was found hanging in a suspicious manner at the quarter of Kakching Life School at Kakching Makha leikai under Kakching Police Station in Kakching district on Wednesday, sources said.

According to the police, the deceased had been identified as Durga Danmaya, 20, wife of one Santosh Kami, 27, from Madi Rural Municipality Ward No 3 of Kashi district, Gandaki province in Nepal.

The couple had been staying at the school for about six months, it mentioned. It added that Santosh found Durga hanging at the quarter of Kakching Life School at around 5 pm. Acting quickly, Santosh cut the rope and attempted to save her but in vain, it added.
