Manipur INC candidate of Thongju assembly constituency Seram Neken has promised to utilise 50 per cent of the MLA’s salary for sportspersons of Thongju assembly constituency if he is elected as their representative in the ensuing election of Manipur.
He made the promise during the flag hoisting ceremony of Congress held at his residence at Singjamei Wangma Kshetri Leikai, Imphal East organised by the Thongju Block Congress Committee.
Neken also assured to open MLA offices at the seven different locations of Thongu assembly constituency to stay in touch with the people of Thongju and to address their grievances.
Pointing out that most of the candidates of the upcoming election are all power-hungry persons who lack real leadership quality, he said, “Such is the key factor of using money power and violence in elections.”
A real leader does not require money and muscle power to contest elections," he said.
He appealed to the people of Thongju to choose their representative wisely.
