Water supply to be affected in Lamshang area

Consumer are requested to bear with the department till the resumption of normal supply of water.

Public Health Engineering Department informed that water supply in Lamsang areas and other places covered by Langjing Reservoir will be affected for around 10 days.

In a press release issued by the department on Thursday notified that the main raw water pipeline from Singda Dam to Kangchup Treatment Plant has been dislocated due to subsidence of the hill terrain along the route of the raw pipeline at Kadangband part I. The work is expected to take about 10 days.

As such normal water supply to consumers of Lamsang, areas covered by Langjing Reservoir such as Tera, Iroisemba, Uripok, Lamphel, Nagamapal, Paona Bazar, Sagolband Salam Leikai, Wahengbam Leikai, Babupara, Keishamthong Kabui Khul, Keishampat, Nepra Menjor, Sayang, Irom Pukhri, Haobam Marak and Chingtham Leikai.
