Water supply scheme inaugurated at S Moljol village

The water supply scheme was inaugurated by Sector Commander 26 Sector Assam Rifles Brigadier Ajay Singh Rana and handed over to the village.

A water supply scheme for the residents of S Moljol village, Moreh, Tengnoupol district under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme has been constructed by Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR South.

The water supply scheme was inaugurated by Sector Commander 26 Sector Assam Rifles Brigadier Ajay Singh Rana and handed over to the village.

The village situated right on the Indo-Myanmar border has been suffering from acute shortage of water over the years due to non availability of natural water sources nearby.

The scheme includes construction of a Borewell fitting with Water-pump and safe and hygienic water storage tank. The scheme will provide round the clock supply of clean and hygienic water to the village. It will alleviate water related issues for residents of S Moljol village.

The programme was attended by leaders of Kuki chief Association Moreh Block, Kuki chiefs' Association Tengnoupal district and other CSOs and villagers.

Villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to 43 Assam Rifles for taking up such activity in the village.
