Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation Manipur (RNYOM) has welcomed All Naga Students’ Association Manipur (ANSAM)’s move to carry out the economic blockade in the entire Nagas inhabitant areas with effect from 6 pm of Friday against the state government, in demand to restore mobile internet.
In a statement issued by its media cell mentioned, “RNYOM fully endorsed the ANSAM’s decision and requested the state government Manipur to intervene timely to ease the grievances of everyone life and stop escorting the vehicles against genuine demand of the general public.”
In the event of any untoward incident occurring, the state government should solely bear the consequence, the statement added.
RNYOM appealed to all the citizens to give support and cooperation to the indefinite economic blockade announced by ANSAM and the ongoing indefinite total shutdown on NH 37 till the demand is made, it mentioned.
In the meantime, many vehicles are stranded along National Highway 37 due to the indefinite total shutdown. However, no untoward incident has happened till the filling of this report.
