A man was arrested by a team of Irilbung Police Station at at Keirao Litan Makhong in Imphal East in a vehicle theft case on Wednesday, police said.
The arrested vehicle lifter has been identified as one Md Shamir Singa, 26, son of Md Najiruddin from Konum, Hiyangkhong, the police said.

The OC team on frisking and checking detained the suspected person at Keirao Litan Makhong around 3:30 am on Wednesday.
The police said a Honda Activa/Scooter, grey metallic in colour without registration number, Chassis No ME4JF914DMG477912 and Engine No JF91EG1472166 of 2022 was seized from his possession.

A regular case has been registered under FIR no. 87(8)2022, IBG-PS, U/s 379/34 IPC for investigation, police added.
