Members of Thoubal VDF welfare association, along with Thoubal additional SP (L&O), Suraj and RO Thoubal O Jotin, extended financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the bereaved family members of former VDF Md Ajijur Rahaman on Monday.
The activity was carried out under the initiative of Thoubal SP, Sachidananda Soibam, stated a release. The team visited the VDF’s family at Lilong Nungei Mamang Leikai and extended the help donated from the District’s VDF welfare fund, it stated.
Md Ajijur Rahaman served at Thoubal Babu Bazar VDF outpost when he was alive, it said. He passed away due to a prolonged illness earlier on November 2, it mentioned.
The release also included the initiatives carried out by Thoubal district VDF welfare association for welfare of VDF personnel of the district. It also added the help extended by the association to the family members of a VDF personnel of Moreh, who stayed at a relief camp in Thoubal following his death due to an illness earlier.
