Vaccination of Haj pilgrims begins in Imphal

As many as 360 pilgrims have been selected for Haj from Manipur

Vaccination of Haj pilgrims with seasonal influenza, oral polio and meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine has begun at the Family Welfare Department, Imphal, Manipur.

In connection with the vaccination, Dr Chambo Gonmei, who is additional director of Family Welfare, told the media that a list of 360 selected pilgrims for Haj from Manipur have been given for vaccination. He also asked the remaining pilgrims, who are yet to get vaccination, to get vaccinated.

He also informed that many had asked for a third dose of COVID vaccination, for precaution or booster dose and that the department is in the procurement process.
