Anderson Poutau, a local of Bhaiphung Khunou informed this Imphal Free Press correspondent over the phone that over 100 pigs had reportedly died of the unknown animal disease and rendered several in critical conditions.
He lamented that his younger brother lost 17 pigs and urged the Veterinary minister to look into the issue being faced by the village at the earliest and provide remedial measures.

It may be mentioned that several pigs had recently died of unknown livestock disease in Manipur’s Ukhrul and Kamjong district.
