In the just concluded 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections, out of the three assembly constituencies of Phungyar, Ukhrul and Chingai, 43-Phungyar under Kamjong district recorded the highest voter turnout at 89. 67 per cent. No repoll was also held at Phungyar.
According to poll data provided by DIO Ukhrul Tuesday late night, the total voter turnout in the second phase of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election in Phungyar is 89. 67 per cent while Ukhrul and Chingai assembly constituencies recorded 83.17 and 87.31 per cent respectively.
In the repoll at 44-Ukhrul E-2 polling station, out of 1231 voters 962 exercised their franchise with 450 males and 512 females. Its total voter turnout was 78.15 %.
At 45/25 Kalhang, of the 726 total electorates 528 cast their vote with 269 males and 259 females. Total voter turnout is 72.43 per cent.
While at 45/31 Peh-B, out of 952 voters 757 casted their vote with 374 males and 383 females. Its total voter turnout is 79.52 %.
The repoll was held under tight security to ensure that voters exercise their franchise in a free and fair manner.
