The 35 Assam Rifles apprehended two suspected cadres of Koireng led UNLF at Viewland Zone III in Ukhrul headquarters on Wednesday.

The apprehended individuals were identified as Huidrom Jitanjit Singh, 36, son of H Borajao of Hiyanglam, Thoubal and Ningthem Oinam @ Tomba Luwang, 43, son of Leikhangba of Thanga Karang, Bishnupur.
From their possession, a sum of Rs 1,71,500 in cash in addition to ammunition, gold chain, four mobile phones, two wireless sets and other documents were also seized.

They were handed over to the Ukhrul police in the evening.
