Two active cadres of proscribed outfit KCP (Noyon) were arrested by a team of commando, Imphal West district from two different places on Sunday.
Police said the arrested persons have been identified as one Telem Boy Singh alias Priyobarta alias Loya, 49, son of (L) T Puina Singh of Keishampat Aheibam Leikai from his residence at 5:45 am and Moirangthem Jiten Singh alias Nanao, 38, son of (L) M Madhumamgol Singh of Kongba Laishram Leikai presently staying at Thanga Karang Nambol Leikai.
Police reported that acting on information, Boy was arrested from his residence located at Keishampat Aheibam Leikai at around 5:45 am and Jiten from a rented house located at Moirang Chingei Lampak at around 8 am the same day.
During preliminary verification, they disclosed that they were working under the command of one Mangal, who is the self-style publicity secretary of the outfit. Under his command, they made monetary demands to various government and private establishments and collected the monetary amounts for raising party funds.
One two wheeler (Honda Pleasure), faded in colour, bearing registration number MN06SC-4927; 4 mobile handsets; one wallet containing an Aadhaar card and a voter card were seized from their possession.
The arrested persons along with the seizures have been handed over to officer-in-charge, Imphal Police Station for further necessary legal action.
