The All Manipur Ethnical Socio-cultural Organisation (AMESCO) on Sunday organised a tree plantation programme at Ahallup Bamdier Awang Leikai in Imphal West district.

The drive, which aimed to mitigate climate change, was held in collaboration with Youth Development organisation, stated a release. Residents of various communities in the area participated in the drive it mentioned.

It further emphasised the need for all the people in the state to safeguard the state, as well as to take care of the environmental surroundings. AMESCO will conduct similar drives in various areas and urged people to extend their support and cooperation, it added.
