The Chairmen and Secretaries Association Tamenglong (CSAT) and the Village Authority Chairmen’s Council (VACC) have called a total shutdown at Tamenglong district headquarters from 6 am to 8 am on December 15 against the alleged non-payment of job card wages and material components under MGNREGS scheme.

The decision to impose a total shutdown was taken during the emergency meeting of the two associations on Tuesday.
A joint statement issued by CSAT president Makiujeiyang Gangmei and VACC president Athanbou Pamei urged all the citizens of Tamenglong to give full cooperation and support the genuine cause.
